Naruto: Shippūden episodes

This is an episode list for the new Naruto series. For the original series' episode list, see List of Naruto episodes.

This is a list of episodes of the anime series Naruto: Shippūden. The episodes are directed by Hayate Date and produced by Studio Pierrot and TV Tokyo.[1] They are based on the Naruto: Shippūden manga series by Masashi Kishimoto and have thus far adapted the first through fourth volumes of the series over thirty episodes. Naruto: Shippūden is a continuation of the Naruto manga series by Kishimoto, and continues the same storyline after the passing of two and a half years in the fictional Naruto universe.

The episodes began airing on February 15, 2007 and have all been shown on TV Tokyo in Japan.[1]

Five pieces of theme music are used for the episodes; two opening themes and three ending themes. The opening themes are "Hero's Come Back!! by J-pop group nobodyknows+, used for the first thirty episodes, and "distance" by LONG SHOT PARTY onwards. The three ending themes are "Nagareboshi ~Shooting Star~" (流れ星 ~Shooting Star~, "Nagareboshi ~Shooting Star~"?) by Home Made Kazoku for the first eighteen episodes, Alüto's "Michi ~ to you all" (道 ~to you all, "Michi ~ to you all"? lit. Path ~ to you all), used for the next twelve episodes, and "Kimi monogatari" (キミモノガタリ, "Kimi monogatari"? lit. Your Story) by little by little, which is planned for use beginning with episode 31.

A featured movie, Naruto: Shippūden the Movie, based on the Naruto: Shippūden series, was released on August 4, 2007.[2] Episodes 24 through 27 included scenes from the movie in both the opening and ending themes, while still retaining the original music.
